What We Do

Our dentists and dental assistants and hygienic staff provide quality, comprehensive dental care ranging from all general dental needs to ultra-cosmetic procedures and full rehabilitation care, to emergency dental procedures for both adults and children alike.  They can also whiten your teeth or fix your smile with Invisalign® clear braces. Our office is conveniently located in St. Louis near Highway 255 so that we can service our St. Louis community, as well as our patients in South County and Oakville.

Kingston’s dentists and staff are known and respected for their warm and empathetic chairside manner and friendly communication with patients. Our entire staff listens to you, asks questions and actually hears what you have to say about your dental issues. Only then do we recommend a suitable, comprehensive treatment.

We even provide a variety of drinks and snacks to make you more comfortable in our waiting room.  Our goal is to give you state-of-the-art dental care, handle any emergency cases, all while providing you with a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere.

Who We Are

Our dentists, Dr. Ronald Greif and Dr. Sam Ruvinov, and Dr. James Cahill take pride in their work, being on time for appointments, and providing terrific dental services as painless as possible.  Our all-inclusive dental care, ranges from everyday general dental needs to cleanings, fillings, and oral exams to ultra-cosmetic and full rehabilitation care, like dental bridges, dental braces, and gum disease. We can even treat Sleep Apnea and TMJ issues. And because we are a full-service dental care practice, we rarely refer patients out to a specialist!

Dr. Cahill also places Dental Implants which may be called for in a dental emergency. And many happy patients say he is one of the best!

Emergency Dental Treatment

Are you in serious pain from a toothache?  Are you experiencing painful swelling of your mouth or jaw? Have a chipped or broken tooth?  Has a tooth been knocked out or become infected? At Kingston Dental Care, we offer emergency same day services for those in need of urgent dentistry.

We believe that any problem needing immediate treatment to save a tooth is considered an emergency. This also applies to severe tooth or oral infections that could damage a nerve or that could be life-threatening.  At Kingston Dental Care, any injury to your teeth or mouth is considered an emergency. Sports injuries.  Car accidents.  Falls. No matter what the cause, a dental emergency needs to be addressed as quickly as possible.

We handle a wide range of emergency issues, including lingering oral problems, growing infections, nerve damage, and others. If you haven’t been properly taking care of your oral health, small issues can evolve into painful and dangerous infections that culminate in a need for us to intervene.

A toothache isn’t a sign of your mouth being fine and healthy. If you’ve been noticing soreness, pain, or any tooth or jaw pain, we encourage you to call us for emergency dental services and fast relief. The sooner you come to our office, the sooner we can ease the pain in the short-term, and then focus on identifying the cause of the problem while it’s still minor.

Some emergency dental issues include:

• Broken or cracked tooth or teeth
• Broken or dislocated jaw
• Permanent tooth or teeth knocked out
• Object or food caught between teeth
• Severe toothaches

First Aid for Some Common Dental Emergencies

Tooth Knocked Out:

• Time is the most important factor.  Get to your dentist as quickly as you can.  You have about a 30-minute window of opportunity to re-implant your tooth back into the socket.
• Do not try to re-implant the tooth yourself.
• The best liquid to transport a knocked-out tooth in is, if milk is not available, use your own saliva or a saline solution. If nothing else is available, put the tooth in a baggie filled with water.
• Don’t wrap the tooth in anything.  You don’t want the tooth to dry out.  Keep it moist.
• Don’t touch the tooth root if you can avoid it.
• Feel free to put a cold compress on the outside of your cheek or jaw to relieve any discomfort.

Tooth Chipped or Cracked:

• Your dentist may X-ray your tooth to determine the necessary treatment.
• If the pulp of your tooth is showing, it’s a serious crack and you must get to your dentist as soon as possible.
• Sometimes the tooth can be fixed with a filling or bonding if it’s a minor chip or crack.
• Occasionally, the chip or crack could be deep enough to affect the nerve of the tooth.  In this case, a more complex treatment may be needed.

Tooth Moved or Dislocated:

• If a tooth has shifted due to an accident, a fall or a sports injury, see your dentist as soon as possible.
• Do not try to move the tooth back on your own.
• For any mouth discomfort or swelling before you get to your dentist, apply ice.
